In general, if you don't use "advanced" features in your msft documents, they will likely translate very well. Now if you have two linux machines running on the same network and computer A knows the name or ip of computer B. If person on computer B types in xhost +, then on computer A a person could type in mozilla -display "name or IP of com":0 and mozilla will come up and be controlled by computer A, but it is executing on computer B. This paradyme gives much flexibility. I run several graphical application on different machines all displaying back and controlled from one machine.
