Israel was never a party to the hudna. Israel agreement with the PA was: you clamp down on the terrorists, or else we will. The PA did nothing. Terrorist attempts dropped by 50%, but there were still lots and lots of them, and about a dozen Israelis died by ones and twos. Then Hamas blew up a bus full of families. Do you expect Israel to just take it and do nothing? If it happened near you, would you?
