I'm not advocating it [though if I thought about it for a while I might] but I don't understand why the Israeli government doesn't just kill Arafat.

Say "Next time a child on a bus dies, or a child anywhere else, due to a suicide bomber..." with legalese about a child being somebody aged between 2 and 12 [so that they are visible and not a 16 year old who is really an adult], "... we will kill you".

Maybe Hamas would rush to the attack. Oh well, bad luck for Arafat if he can't control Hamas. Then, keep working the way down the list of whoever is most in charge of the Palestinian violence.

I think I'd be inclined to do that. I'd get quite annoyed if my children were being blown up deliberately by political religious murderous wackoes. "Quite" meaning something like blind with rage.

I know the Palestinians say children are being killed by Israeli soldiers, but actually they are stone throwing, or worse, thugs who are attacking the soldiers. They aren't babes in arms. There have no doubt been maybe 5 young and innocent children killed by Israeli military action while attacking particular Palestinians.

But count the number of children killed by terrorist bombers and the score is much higher, I think [maybe I'm wrong].

I'm surprised they haven't said that.
