We're talking years down the road Bilow.. This is NOT a short-term plan.. Spreading militant Islam is the only goal of the Wahabbists. Intolerant systems cannot tolerate the presence of open society. They can't control their populations, so these societies must be terrorized and destroyed so that Allah can prevail..
The rise of militant Islam is not a sudden paradigm shift in the world. It has been a stealth revolution which has attempted to assert itself in those societies where corruption, ineptitude, or sheer economic deprivation willing poverty stricken "sheeple" (as Maurice aptly puts it) into suicide bombers who have nothing to live for but the glory of god.
The US cannot stay "the hell out of it", and neither can the rest of the non-Islamic world. This isn't about Islam.. It's about a rampant militant religious cult which is devouring the moderate mainstream.
This could be Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shintoism.. It doesn't matter.. Any religion can form fundamentalist militant sects who can dominate the moderate factions is economic conditions are intolerable and people lack a hopeful future.
Saudi Arabia would be a tougher target than Iraq to conquer, and an equally tough country to pacify. An invasion there would also result in failure.
But there IS evidence that certain Saudi officials and royal family members abetted and/or sponsored the 9/11 attack where 50,000 civilians were targeted, and 3,000 killed.. 28 pages of such evidence were censored from recent congressional reports. And I'm pretty certain that we have even more information that remains unpublished. The Saudi royal family is all one entity. The King is responsible for the actions of his family, especially when it comes to deliberate attempts to spread militant Islam throughout the world.
Thus, are you advocating that the United States permit itself to be attacked with impunity??
