Only God knows what the path of the Middle East would have been without the Iraq invasion. But any mortal can tell that it's hopeless now. Have you read what the Baghdad citizenry are saying now? The more westernized ones, the best hope for the US, feel quite hopeless, particularly with the recent UN suicide bombing. Since they figure it's hopeless, they're hardly going to go out there and risk their lives informing on Baathists, Islamic nut cases, nationalists, or whoever is stillllll attacking our soldiers. -- Carl
