State sales tax rates: taxadmin.org State income tax rates: taxadmin.org So CA is at the high end of both sales and income taxes. Property taxes vary with school district, city, county and state - way too much data. Prop 13: I wonder if dear old Grey maneuvered CA into this mess to get it repealed. What he did that led to this mess was so stupid it HAS to be intentional! :-)
