Thanks for the numbers The 22 million NDS users, what % of Novell's enterprise customers is that? Does anyone follow this at Novell? Do the sales guys try to go after everyone of these customers with Bordermanager? I hope somebody is on top of this. Also how are Novonyx sales being handled? (I realize there is no product yet but supposedly that's coming.) ============================ As to Gates, the major problem is that his monopoly tactics are heading us back to the 1960's as far as computing goes. We are getting locked in to inferior technology. If I were selling selling Novell servers against NT, I'd go in with some of these hacks that crash NT and show these companies how vulnerable NT makes them. I'd ask them if they want to bet the company database on NT. Then I would show them how Novell handles security issues and how NDS and Bordermanager handle traffic and content. The one problem you do have is the lack of an upgrade path to JAVA for your VARs that are doing customized programming for smaller customers. I don't know what the hell Novell is doing about this except avoiding the issue and the problem. Once again showing the superiority of Gates strategy with NT.
