That covers a period starting close to a year ago, and ending almost 9 months ago.

It's very old news.

Dan, hi, glad to see you here.

I agree fully that it is rather old, but I am putting it here as a basis for future numbers, so we can refer back to it. Note I copied the article and that particular spin was not mine, but the inquirer's :)

When you see numbers for this year (say 1st or 2nd quarter), I would be very happy to have them.

There are always different ways to spin the numbers. For example Inquirer put it there as if it is all about Intel and AMD.

This is all chips, not just cpu's.
So a different spin could be: the total is up 39.5% and Intel is only up 34.6 % so Intel is losing market share in China (from 25.5% to 24.6%). Who is growing faster than the total?

That is Matsushita (99%), Samsung (88%), Micron (88%), Texas (58%), Philips (57%), Qualcomm (53%), Rohm (51%).

I always like to see more detailed confirmation before calling something a trend.

Btw will post the table once I have it better formatted in my excel.

All the best
