If Bush had worked at a McDonalds, you know and everyone on this thread knows, you would be accusing him of cozying up to the hamburger business.

There is no evidence Bush has done ANYTHING to benefit the oil industry since he took office. Anything. Thus, according to your view, we should never have a president who has held a substantial job.

Personally, I would think business experience ought to be a prerequisite to the presidency. The last president we elected who had no business experience ended up running the most corrupt administration in history so that he could line his pockets on leaving office.

I much prefer someone who has no financial reliance on ANY industry. I think it is obvious we won't have the pardons of criminals up for sale to highest bidder whenever Bush does leave office.
