Isn't also our Christian duty to "turn the other check" or "judge not, lest ye be judged", or "let (those) without sin, cast the first stone." I suppose I'm willing to pay taxes for those government activities, despite the religious motivation. Now, I'm trying to remember, what does the Bible have for our duty to promote tolerance, care for the mentally ill and elderly or toeducation of the young? Strange bedfellows indeed ... He would have been well advised to leave the religious stuff at the door. Sounds like their problems are going to be solved by gambling. Yeah, why didn't we think of that sooner? John Q. Public can gamble with Jr's college fund and maybe provide enough for all the other young-uns through the generousity of gaming.

Perhaps a certain kind of tunnel vision possesses these great statespersons. Time to make the world safe for hypocrisy.
