The paragraph you are commenting on contained the following:

<The last couple of weeks really remind me of the 1999/2000 area - nobody saw anything they didn't like back then and the same thing exists today. Just look at the "two week tables" I just posted. That's as good as it gets - nothing better even back in the "bubble" days. Take 1 example, MTSN, up 40 percent in the last 2 weeks and the consensus earnings for NEXT YEAR is a -0.06 a share. Now you have to admit - that is a little funny.>

I wasn't commenting on stocks such as JDSU and SLDI, I was really talking about the stocks in the Group and the semi-equips in general. I stand by my statement - the 25 percent rise in the Group the past 2 weeks is about as good as it gets over the 7 years I have been keeping weekly data. I might be able to find 1 or 2 periods during those 7 years that were higher, but that is about it.

I'm not sure I understand your comment:

<I guess, I don't agree with your "as good as it gets" statement. 25 to 45% is nothing compared to 17 and 27 baggers!>

The time frames we are talking about don't seem to be compatible. Your 17 and 27 baggers seem to be over a period of many months. The Group gain of 25 percent with certain individual stocks therein being much more happened in 2 weeks.
