The only path to peace is the removal of ALL of the terrorist leaders. The fact that the terrorist leaders are acting like cowards now, and pleading for another cease fire, means that Israel is doing the right thing by hunting these savage child killers down.
It is my belief that the only way to achieve peace is to integrate the concept of separation of church and state into the minds of these religious fanatics on both sides , and to disolve away all this ancient fantasy of divine right and holy jhiadic nonsense that the Jew is just as culpable in his doctrine as the Arab.
The point I was making in posting that article on the internal thinking of the recent suicide bomber Raed Abdel-Hamed Masq , was his neurotic belief that he was somehow "matriculating " to some higher plane of existence by carrying out such an act ...that i found it not surprising that the word " martyrdom " and "certificate" (or diploma) seem to have very much the same meaning in the "language ". In the beginning God created the "Word" , and some words get twisted with hate , and justify a "good father" going out to meet God with killing other people's children. I believe he flunked the course.

* Worship God , Jehova or Allah if you wish , but first remember you are part of the human family in the 21rst century first . Israel has done a bit of child killing too, but it's high time that some sanity of "real" education is allowed to flourish again in these middle eastern regions ,and not the mythic folktales, fantasies and legends that populate the minds of so many that narrows their field of vision, and allows for the perpetuation of such brutality...and continued warping of young minds in the Madrassas or wherever these "concepts" are taught.
Sometimes I think the Romans were both wise & right ...and the Macedonian /Greeks. Completely conquer , tolerate , then assimilate. Perhaps religion has held us together for so many centuries where we might have slipped into chaos ...even Constantine back in Rome knew this, and converted an empire to Christianity . But this is not true religion at is purest as we have all witnessed . Islam knows , Judaism knows , Christianity knows , there is always more, we as a species have to learn to grow , than blind dogmas and holy lands.
But such is man...
PS: Of course we are no shining example of life expertly lived here either , having the largest percent of human beings behind prison walls here in this country ...and killed quite a few children & civilians of our own over in Iraq ...hopefully for a better end yet to come. WE have young men and women there now who are also "martyring" themselves in our own forces , lets all remember.
The human landscape seems to be naturally congealing into the final stages of some incredibly hard fought demographic created out of war , struggle , human belief , human tragedy , mythological religious/political tribalisms ...into some more modern rational and hopefully tolerant liveable and sustainable open~border free-trading democratic peoples (men and women)...sans violence and the <font size=4>high neurosis of too much fundamentalism and blind tribalism. |
