Jay, it would be to simplistic to think that the US and for that matter Europe are not aware of the events in Saudi Arabia. Please note that in Iraq the US/UK are not exactly alone and sooner or later Europe will join for the reasons mentioned in the article you posted.

As time passes by I see more and more the justification for the war in Iraq. Saddam Husein left on top would have taken control of Saudi Arabia at the right time overnight.

further there two key sentences that may not lead to chaos but only unrest in the article you posted

This begs the question of what group will emerge as the strongest and most capable of filling the power vacuum. Given the weakness of the "peaceful opposition" -- as the sources describe themselves -- and the fact that the jihadists also do not enjoy a monopoly over popularity, Stratfor's sources refrained from making predictions regarding which group might step into the upcoming void.

They will find a group or...... they will occupy Saudi Arabia but this time with the Russian, Germans and French and even China and others joining in.

No one can afford from an economic point a state of chaos in Saudi Arabia as it will spread all over the ME and based on our dependence on energy all economies will be toast.

What is for sure the US prestige will decline in the world and China will fill a more active role in world affairs which by itself is not something that will improve our life styles, China interest are not exactly the interests of the US or Europe....... after all they have 1.3 billion people to feed.
