Clark's experience suits him for Sec of Defense. There's no arguing he's got more or better experience than someone like Kerry. That's just not a rational argument. Besides, I hope we can end this Bush war(s) during the next administration, not prolong it. The country chose Eisenhower because we were in the midst of the Cold War. But these days, a general/president is not needed. Despite what Bush claims, the "war on terror" should be waged as a police and intelligence war, not a military one. Therefore, Kerry-Graham have the best experience as any two contenders. We also need a brand new energy plan to gradually get off Arab oil altogether. That would be Kerry's area of expertise.
