Republicans I know are also disgusted with Bush. Yes, they are moderates, but they are also fiscal conservatives and honest conservatives, fair-minded, compassionate intelligent people. They dont like the way Bush has lied to us, his disdain for the environment and the needy, the Enron economics, his wacky war in Iraq under false pretenses and the general sense of dishonesty in the air. Frankly, I am surprised Bush is raising so much campaign cash. Must be a lot of corporate special interests. Who else benefits from a Bush presidency? No one I know excpet one guy who works for Carlyle Group. He just spent $250,000 on his wedding.
