right, i read that. i also showed you which ones are enabled on my winxp machine... "tell me which of these two settings have check marks... enable install on demand (internet explorer) enable install on demand (other) on my winxp settings, the first is not checked and the second is" if you want to try that setting, have at it i'm grasping at straws here. i think yours is an intriguing problem. i don't know why you are not given the option to open the program and run it, only save it to disk. i wish others here would proffer their suggestions. i gave you mine
