*** Data recovery from failed hard disk *** Do any one know of a reputable hard disk recovery service? Thanks in advance.

Jon, you discussed hard disk recovery a while back. I never thought it would happen to me, because I back up everything regularly.
Last Friday disaster stroke. To make a long story short, one hard disk failed. I went to backup the 2nd hard disk, it failed shortly after the backup started.

What happened was the software for Olympus digital camera send windows into a infinite loop of window dialogs. The dialog box just kept coming on and off the screen continuously. The program (which crashes all the time before) did not respond to any commands (including all kill commands including ctrl-alt-delete). There was no reboot button. Even the power button on the computer could not do the job. After 20 min, I had to turn off the power switch on the surge protector to try to reboot. None of my computers has been able to detect the presence of this hard disk since.
