Gov. Davis gave essentially the same talking points about the underhandedness of the Repuglicans on CNN's Late Edition yesterday as well:

I think once the circus atmosphere wears off and people realize how shabbily the GHP is treating California, the recall effort will go down to defeat.

Anyone with the least bit of integrity and concern about the future of our democratic processes will certainly vote against the schemers who brought California the financial crisis in the first place. If it weren't for the tens of billions wasted on paying fat cat Republican energy crooks, the state would be in reasonably good financial shape.

Davis simply isn't responsible for the criminals who rigged the California energy markets. They all voted for Bush, and bribed him to sit on his thumbs when it was perfectly obvious that the market was being gamed.
