NASDAQ Reworks ViewSuite
NASDAQ is making big changes to its ViewSuite product lineup, including large price cuts. ViewSuite displays aggregate SuperMontage prices and depth of book for “SIZE” bids and offers. NASDAQ claims ViewSuite shows 50% more executable depth than using a Level II window alone. Traders currently pay up to $150 per month for the service depending on their choice of packages. Now, NASDAQ wants to consolidate all ViewSuite products into one package and charge $70 per month. The downside is that traders using only the DepthView service will have to pay $20 more per month. NASDAQ is also improving its "Prime" data feed to show all quotes, instead of just quotes at the top five price levels. The new pilot-pricing schedule is pending SEC approval and won’t become effective until at least September 15, 2003.
