According to the Department of Energy's, Energy Information Administration, Canada with reserves of 180 billion barrels, is now believed to have the second largest oil reserves in the world.

Thanks for the listing. There is not a break out for Saudi Arabia or Iraq so its not clear if Canada is now second in the world as you claim.

Having said that, I know Canada has started to extract oil out of shale or tundra and that their reserves had increased accordingly because of this new source.
