I2 Rated in U.S. Transportation Management Systems - TMS - Marketscope

DALLAS, Aug 25, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- i2 Technologies, Inc. (OTC:ITWO), a
leading provider of end-to-end supply chain management solutions, today
announced that it received a "positive" rating in Gartner's U.S. Transportation
Management Systems (TMS) Marketscope dated August 20, 2003. The report evaluated
12 TMS vendors.

"The transportation management system (TMS) market in the United States
continues to evolve," states the report from Gartner, Inc., "Marketscope: U.S.
TMS Vendors," Jeff Woods, August 20, 2003. "The vendors at the high end of the
market are differentiating their offerings by supporting increasingly complex
planning problems, whereas the vendors at the low end are experiencing rapid
growth because of the relatively small size of the revenue base."

Gartner's TMS Marketscope ratings were based on the following criteria: Vendor
Commitment to TMS, Vendor Viability, References, Operational Planning
Functionality, Transportation Execution and Visibility, TMS Suite, and Adaptive
Supply Chain Execution and Dynamic Logistics Network Configuration Vision.

"We believe that the Gartner Marketscope confirms what our customers already
know - that i2 solutions can meet the critical transportation challenges faced
by companies today," said Pallab Chatterjee, i2 president, Solutions Operations.
"Logistics management is gaining strategic importance within corporate
boardrooms, and best-practice companies are impacting their bottom lines by
creating cost and service efficiencies in their transportation operations by
deploying our solutions."

The i2 Transportation and Distribution Management solution is designed to enable
companies to procure, plan, execute and proactively monitor freight movements
across multiple modes, borders and enterprises. This closed-loop transportation
management system is intended to allow companies to reduce costs while improving
service levels and increasing asset utilization.

"Cooper Tire draws from multiple modules of i2 solutions to transform its supply
chain into a very lean and efficient set of processes. We're pleased to hear
that Gartner is recognizing i2," said George McAfee, SCM Program Manager at
Cooper Tire. "Leveraging these systems we migrated nine of our distribution
centers from a paper and pencil process to an automated, state of the art,
transportation planning and execution system. We now have almost real time
visibility into our shipping orders and are able to select the most efficient
load consolidation routing opportunities for our products to be at the right
place at the right time. In addition, transportation manager gives us the
ability to automatically generate payment vouchers, which has allowed us to
reduce the number of paper freight bills by over 60 percent."
