So, let me see whether I understand.

There is a form, or eidos, to use Platonic concepts, of insult. It is the definition of insult of which all insults partake. So whenever anything is said, at the moment it is said, it is either an insult or not an insult, because it does or does not partake of the eidos of insult. Every comment ever made, at the moment of utterance, falls on one or the other side of the fence, insult or non-insult. Is that a fair statement of your position?
