Dean's populist message is great for 30% of the Dem Party, but that's about it. Moderates will decide the election in 2004, not liberals. And Kerry has very similar messages as Dean's on many liberal issues. According to one poll I saw 76% of Dean supporters would also enthusiastically support Kerry. And Kerry can beat Bush. Dean will have a big problem not having his character assassinated by the GHOP machine a la Dukakis.
