I'm not suggesting that we withdraw from negotiating with N Korea. Just with draw our troops from S. Korea. We could send two aircraft carriers to the region to replace them. I just don't see the value that we are getting from having Army troops stationed in Korea.

Worst case scenario in Korea is no longer an invasion from the N. Korean army. We shoud let the S. Korea's worry about the N. Korean army while we worry about the N. Korean nukes.

Regarding the UN, I'm still not sure what guarantees we will get from the obstinate nations that we will actually get any significant troops to help out in Iraq. What is to stop these countries from only offering a token of military units after they get us to grovel at the UN?
