Hi Jay - Sold a little ABX (Barrick Gold, the black sheep of the gold business ;-)) today, after watching the gain erode also. I'm planning on trimming some more this week, as we may drift down until early September - lots of Wall Street on vacation. I can't get a very good read on natural gas, it maybe near fairly priced right now. A number of statistics have come in much better than expected - existing home sales, before that the Philly FE manufacturign numbers. Inventories are still lower than normal, so a business pick up will creat a good deal of short term demand for both end use and to fill the pipeline. I expect we may get a very strong increase in the economy for one or two months - this could run up raw material prices....
