I realize your question was posted as sarcasm, but I'll address your question, nonetheless... actually, filming in Canada does provide several benefits for U.S. film companies... the Canadian Federal and Provincial governments offer grants for matching funds based on the production budget, this can increase a production budget by as much as 30%... also, these government grants can be brought into the studio as additional profits for each picture... most all of the motion pictures you see today are filmed in Canada... Hollywood, actually all of California, is not friendly to film makers, look at how the State has pushed businesses out of California... we also have a good working relationship with the Film Commissioner in Canada, this does not happen in California or anywhere within the United States... in September, we're planning to begin the principal photography of The Legends Of Passion, a family comedy western, not far from where Open Range was filmed... yes, that American western was also filmed in Canada, along with Lonesome Dove and numerous other great American westerns... if you're interested in seeing how a feature motion picture is filmed and put together, you are cordially invited as my guest to come visit us on location to see our picture being made, lunch is on me...
