Ultimatly it proved to be destructive for Argentina to peg their currency to the U.S. dollar and there were complaints voiced in many circles against this policy. The loudest protestations came fromto Brady Bond and WMF circles.

What was true in Argentina's economy is not the case in China at this time. There are different arguments and different circumstances, but there were voices that spoke in opposition to Argentina's policy.
