Kerry is not a lightweight on anything. Clark is a fine man but dont exaggerate his importance. I'm sure Clark knows he has about as much chance of being nominated as being struck by lightning. Kerry's experience only begins with militaryt matter. It goes on and on and on from there. Military is not the only issue. I wish Clark luck, but I'm a realist. I know how the major parties work. Remember 37% of delegates do not have to vote the way the voters do. In a split race that means they anoint the winner in the end. And they will no doubt anoint someone they know very well and can trust completely. I'm not even sure Clark is a Democrat. And I'm not even sure he's running. He may not.

As for Dean, if he were only an ex governor of a battleground state. But he's not. He's from the most liberal place in America and that's a big strike against him nationally. The DNC doesn't want Dean. That's for sure. And they probably don't know Clark well enough to anoint him either.

Kerry or Gephardt are the favorites. Ignore the polls. Look at the reality.
