Baan, SAP, and Peoplesoft are all over followed and over valued by Wall Street. Baan, SAP, and Peoplesoft are designed for large companies. They are too complicated and expensive for medium sized companies. Large companies hire Big 5 Consultants and have large Data Processing staffs. These people love the cost and complexity of installing and operating these systems, it justifies their jobs. Most medium size firms want a package that is easy to install and operate without the cost of millions and a cast of thousands. Vertical industry packages based on Microsoft's NT are filling this market. The NT market is larger then the market for Baan, SAP, and Peoplesoft.
