You said, for example:Treating people with decency does not prevent you from making value judgments regarding sexual mores where moral choices need to be made. Sexual orientation is not a moral choice. And acknowledging the humanity of homosexuals does not contaminate your "preference" for heterosexuality. Unless you are a homosexual this will be your preference.

I merely pointed out that your:

"No one is preaching hatred against homosexuals, or counseling that they should be discriminated against broadly""

was a straw man and a misrepresentation. The quote you supply to justify your insinuation that I was accusing you of preaching hate against homosexuals is incapable of any such justification. You know very well we were discussing whether or not children's heterosexual preferences might be contaminated by treating homosexuals as full persons with the right to love and to declare their love before society and God. You are embarrassing yourself with such absurdities.

"I do not owe you an apology"

Well, that response is obviously worthy of you.

As to our discussion: you clearly have nothing further to add apart from your evasiveness and sulking. But I will summarize for you. You used a great number of words to basically say something quite simple: That you believed that the ability of society to effectively moralize might be impaired should society permit homosexuals to honour their love through marriage as other human beings do. This, however, was a conclusion. There was no argument given. Indeed, common sense finds the conclusion rather ludicrous.

Homosexuality is neither "good" nor "bad". It just IS. Therefore, it has no moral sense attached to it. Because society is thus sanctioning the removal of discrimination rather than taking any moral position on homosexuality...it seems rather unlikely that such would impair the ability of society to moralize on genuine moral issues. I can think of no connection, and you have not even attempted to make one.
