Well, the fear of attacks works both ways. It does bring a added risk to insurance players but it also results in higher premiums. RNR did see the latter effect in the last Q which resulted in a nice increase to both the top- and bottom-line. Warren's timing with General GE was unlucky - he ended up on the wrong side of the cause/effect factor. The way I see it RNR (and others) will now see the positive effect of higher premiums and additional coverage (from new and old customers). There is always the risk of large scale disasters, always have been, but 9/11 has lead to increased security which should lead to less man-made disasters. By the way - I did start a separate forum for RNR at Subject 54221 so we don't use up warren's board discussing this (even though I think RNR might be something Warren might be/could be looking at). REH
