tanks Tanks were what I was thinking about, of course. They should have waited. There was no need to rush that fast, but the Marine command structure was such that the Battalion CO would probably have been relieved if he had waited. In any case, it turned into a mess. Our guys were good enough that we had few of them. I have heard that the Marines had tanks ashore in Somalia, but the Army Commander either couldn't or wouldn't ask for them.
