I think RRI and DYN still have good chance of major stock price increases over the next few years. I just wouldn't be too heavily weighted in them. The real play will be in the upgrading of the D&T facilities, and i think it is too early to tell which companies will be the winners in that field.
Greater capacity of existing transmission lines, gives companies like American Superconductor an edge. Companies that can greatly increase the sensitivity of sensing devices and controls that can monitor the power flow will also be big winners. THe blackout could have been averted if the grid was able to automatically isolate the problem areas, and reduce the flows in and out rather than open/shut which the present system seems to have. it will be exciting times to pick the right companies. larry
