WEP enabled again: I re-enabled WEP by first entering a 'pass phrase' in Linksys setup. After that I could not access any web site. So I right clicked on the wireless icon in the system tray. then 'open network connection' [that label is misleading], right clicked again on wireless network icon, properties and under 'connect using...' hit configure. There I got another chance to enter my pass phrase. After retracing all steps it worked with WEP enabled.

I'm posting this here so I can find the procedure next time.
