Anyone who portrayed the future as rosy deserves that remark. I don't think that was pervasive. Most pro-Bush people understood the sacrifices, risks, and complexities and expressed themselves eloquently.

"No it's not nearly as much fun anymore.

It is annoying and pointless to simply post hundreds of rhetorical proclamations every day. It does not increase our knowledge or raise the consciousness of the participants. Thoughtful discourse that challenges people to think about issues does help to accomplish these things. I credit you, K. Rose and a few others with making some sincere attempts to promote thoughtful discussion. The rapid fire Bush Bashing posters do nothing but drown the rest of us in inanity.
