Hi David,

I guess my point is that if a person were absolutely certain that a stock would go from 9 to 4 1/2 within a year it would represent a 50% gain on a short play and they would put their money down. As of this writing I'm up 10 grand on my long investment in NOVL. This pleases me greatly because in spite of a dark several months I've been absolutely certain the price would go up. If this sounds like gloating, it is, and I ask everyones pardon for my bad manners.

I have no technical background of any kind but I consider ignorance a cureable condition and do the best I can to understand available information. As I understand it once Netware supports Java it will run any application that has Java. Also as I understand it NDS has been around for about 5 years but Novell kept it as a propriatary system, which is no longer the case, and it is becoming accepted as an industry standard. A decline of mention of Novell in trade rags I see as a marketing problem. As I see it Novell is making serious moves toward correcting their past bumbling approach to advertizing.

The changes Eric Schmidt has made in this last quarter are phenomenal. In spite of the fact that earnings are expected to be bad the price and volume have soared. IMO because this quarter starts out with nothing but black ink and all the pieces in place for a solid turnaround.

I respect your opinion but I think you are overlooking or discounting a lot of important changes in Novell. Time will tell. I may be wrong but I'm not unsure.

Regards,

Don
