UNTIL Greenspan yanks the "free money" rug from under these people. And he will, and the consumer will be deeper in the hole they are currently digging for themselves. Not according to the data I've seen. The data says folks are saving more, using the rebates to pay off credit card debt and many refi's are to lower payments to get added liquidity. You might want to go find a chart of funds in money market funds and other liquid assets.
