The GOP convention in NYC trying to use 9-11 may be the worst idea they ever came up with. There is a lot of dirt on the Bush-Saudis, cover-ups, etc., and it's bound to all come out then. Plus the EPA cover-up, etc. Image means a lot but if your opponent can successful mock the image as phony it turns against you, like it did with Dukakis in the tank. Bush on the aircraft carrier isn't as bad, but his celebration was way-way premature and his posing as a real pilot goes against fact. More important, Iraq is bound to still be a very dangerous place a year from now. Probably no WMD's and oh how expensive for US tax-payers.
