Not without pain, let me tell you. Davis is not clean in this thing. But, the feeling here is that he might just beat the recall. If not, Bustamante has it literally sewn up. And, if the improbable happens and Ahhhnold is elected, we'll have a Republican governor in name only.

All this demonstrates is that some Republicans will try to steal or fix any election they can't win. Florida, Texas, California: when will the law abiding Republicans wake up to the machinations of their party leadership?
