California: when will the law abiding Republicans wake up to the machinations of their party leadership? Kevin, the Republicans have been "machinating" in CA so productively that they don't have one elected state-wide office and they are a minority in both the Senate and the Assembly. Just because we have a safeguard from the 19th century that allows recall doesn't mean we can steal anything. Democrats will have their candidate, just not the jackass NOBODY WANTS. I will not cry if Bustamante wins, in fact I think CA will not get it until something like a good MECHA candidate runs it further into the ground.
