I'm not quite as pessimistic as you are. the reason I'm starting to get worried is not because I think the problems are unsolvable, but rather because I think the Bush administration is so mule-headed that it is not going to do what would be necessary to begin solving them. I had thought the crazies would be edged to the side when the situation became serious, but that hasn't happened yet, and might never happen (or happen to late for it to do any good). me bad. we'll just have to wait and see what happens... tb@pluscachange.com
