Keyes is interesting in that regard. In a panel context, he is low key and well- spoken, and sounds like what his is: a very smart, highly educated guy who has lived a great deal of his life in predominantly white circles. When he gives speeches, though, he tends to get worked up into a "preacher" mode, with slang, sing- song delivery, yelling, and so forth, like a revivalist. That really gins up the crowds......
