Grace,

How is it possible to embrace a fiscally conservative position and at the same time a Democratic body that's hardly met a social program it hasn't liked? It would seem there would be little, if any, constructive movement one way or the other, at least regarding this issue.

I've heard the argument that it's impossible to be fiscally conservative, yet socially liberal many times, with much curiosity.

Also, I would be interested in what your opinion is of the Libertarian Party generally - primarily what you may not like about it and why.
