Several hundred posts ago I suggested another compromise, which was to post the one relevant Commandment in the courthouse, the one about not bearing false witness. As I recall, my suggestion got no response. The God ones are utterly inappropriate, the killing and stealing ones are redundant, but the false-witness one is relevant and perhaps, by itself, not inappropriate.
