"Because Microsoft does not support an upgrade from Windows Me to Windows 2000, Compaq does not recommend or support upgrading from Windows Me to Windows 2000. Please refer to the following Microsoft articles for additional details when deciding whether to perform this unsupported upgrade or a clean installation of Windows 2000." compaq.com i knew there was a good reason why i felt so opposed to the idea of upgrading <g> good luck
