Looking back at CREE's last conference call I am a bit mystified by the sales outlook for this quarter. (forget the lawsuit problems). It seems every report on wireless handset sales is up...and the newer color screen models are selling best. Auto sales are up, Exactly....on top of all of that, both the wireless and automobile markets are going into their peak season for new product introductions. There are a huge number of new color handsets coming out this fall/winter that are going to replace those with black and white screens. Is Cree losing marketshare in handsets? With automobiles it is a little different....it just seems like the trend towards LED interior lighting isnt going very fast. We saw a pretty big jump last year when the Accord went with Cree LED's....but it doesnt look like we are going to see anything comparable this year. Slacker
