I said sometimes, didn't I -- please don't jump to extremes ... every situation is different. And lest we forget -- love != money -- my idea wasn't shunning someone. My mother loved my brother while she was alive, but would not give him money -- she was right. He is finally self-supporting. By all means, I believe we should share with those who are less fortunate -- for many it is not a matter of taking responsibility -- sometimes it really is a plain inability, that is different. Jesus said to loan money to those who don't have the means to repay you ... The prodigal son took his inheritance and squandered it ... but when he realized he would be better off as a hired hand, a servant in his father's house he returned and he was welcomed with open arms. I know these things, Horgad. Bottom line is: It all belongs to God -- Use it as best you understand He wants you to while you are here -- you aren't taking ANY of it with you when you leave this world.
