La Rouche is what Americans call "a whacko". Yay, Pearlie. LaRouche is, indeed, a prime specimen of that great American category of hucksters that make our political lives so entertaining. He may, or may not, be sincere. Most aren't. Nobody ever went broke underestimating the American public, there's a sucker born every minute, and most of them are ready to part with their bottom dollar if you give them the right sales pitch.
