I also affirmed that Iraqi liberation can only be effected by the Iraqi people themselves, both by resisting and defeating the U.S. invasion as well as overthrowing a regime whose brutality was long sustained by none other than the U.S. Such an anti-colonial struggle for self-determination might involve a million Mogadishus now but would ultimately have to become something more like another Vietnam. Vietnam was a stunning defeat for U.S. imperialism; as such, it was also a victory for the cause of human self-determination.

He is calling for deaths of millions of Americans, defeat of the US, which to him would mean "victory for the cause of human self-determination"

Do you agree with this?

No, because I am an American and I don't want my country defeated. Besides, I am sickened by the deaths already in Iraq. However I do agree with the part of his discussion that deals with the need for human self-determination.

If you get hung up on his radicalism and ignore the truth underneath it, then you've given him what he wants which is to get under the skin of mainstream America and make a name for himself.

The reason why I think he is on the right track is because the neocon thesis is wrong and will not work. We need an alternative that's effective and his thesis of human self determination is a good one.

The guy is an idiot in his presentation but his underlying thesis makes good sense. Ignore the wrapping paper.......its academic BS.
