Your original comment dismissed what EB said by "paraphrasing" it completely inaccurately, and adding the sarcastic "Interesting speculation, I suppose."

EB's only supposition was with regard to why he himself wasn't subject to intimidation attempts and Blix was.

It is the pressure and sharp public criticism given because the Bush admin wanted Blix to back U.S. and British assertions about Iraq's weapons programs in his reports to the U.N. Security Council that EB calls attempted intimidation, mentioning that Blix complained a lot about the pressure and sharp public criticism.

You would not have felt, had you been Blix, that sharp public criticism and pressure from the White House was any attempt at intimidating you into backing, in your reports, the assertions they were making.
